15:00 – Thematic Session (focus on teachers) Teaching and assessment in the age of generative AI: How do we know students are learning in the age of AI? - Panel discussion

  • Student learning, agency and AI literacy
  • Access to digital competences, tools and resources
  • Ethical use of generative AI, including fears around academic integrity and accusations of cheating 
  • Over-reliance on AI and the uneven development of critical thinking skills 
  • Students' understanding of responsible AI use and guidance they expect from universities 
  • The impact of AI on student participation and engagement 
  • AI, knowledge production and epistemic responsibility in doctoral education and research
