Travel and transport

Krakow is easy to reach by plane, train, and car. Several major national roads and motorways pass through the city, and the airport in Balice is the second-largest airport in Poland.

Getting to Krakow by car

Getting to Krakow by plane

Krakow's international airport in Balice is located approximately 11 km from the city centre. You can reach the city directly by train or bus.

  • Bus: Lines 209 and 300, as well as the night line 902, provide transport from the airport. Information about connections can be found on www.jakdojade.pl.

The travel time to the city centre is approximately 40 minutes.

Getting to Krakow by train

The city has convenient, direct rail connections with all major cities in Poland. The new Krakow Główny PKP Underground Railway Station is a key transport hub located in the city centre, connected to a car park, bus station, and fast tram network. It is also a great base for those planning to visit the Wieliczka Salt Mine, Auschwitz, or Zakopane.

If your accommodation is located in the city centre or near the event venue, we highly recommend exploring Krakow on foot. This will allow you to fully experience the city's charm and discover its hidden gems.

Public Transport

Krakow has an efficient public transportation system, consisting of well-integrated bus and tram networks that operate from early morning until late at night. Additionally, night trams and buses are available, although they run less frequently.

Transport tickets can be purchased from ticket vending machines at major stops and onboard most trams and buses. While many machines accept both cash and card payments, some may only take cash, so having change on hand is advisable. Alternatively, passengers can purchase tickets via mobile apps such as SkyCash, MoBILET, or directly through JakDojade.
